@nick: I guess the miles across the ocean did not factor into the distance *driven*. The solar car drove 55.000 km on its own without petrol.

good "gimmick" vehicle. one small step for man...
but one hell of a distance to go before a production reality that would be viably sellable.

How did you get it over the oceans. You sure you didnt spend some petrol moving it over the oceans?
